The 14th February in the capital of Bulgaria Sofia will start another major international Boxing tournament — memorial Strandja. Kazakhstan will be represented by ten participants in all weight categories, reports Olympic.kz.
Nine Champions of Kazakhstan and one silver medalist will enter the ring in Bulgaria. Among them, silver medalist of Olympic games-2016 Vasily Levit (91 kg), world champion Kairat Yeraliyev (56 kg), the youngest member of the Olympic team in 2016, Karaganda Abylaikhan Zhusupov, as well as the captain of the team of Kazakhstan Kamchybek Kunabaev (over 91 kg).
In addition to them for the championship will also compete Temirtas Zhusupov (49 kg), Anwar of Musapirov (up to 52 kg), Zakir Safiullin (60 kg), Santali Toltaev (up to 64 kg), Yerik Alzhanov (75 kg), the Beck Nurmagambet (up to 81 kg).
It is worth noting that Kazakhstani athletes have been steadily returning from the memorial in Bulgaria with a gold medal for the last four years. The winners for Kumisbek Kunabaev, Erzhan Zhomart, Working Kulakhmet and sabyrzhan Bakbergenov.
The biggest bets are placed on world champion Kairat Eraliev and silver medalist of the 2016 Olympics Vasily Levit.
By the way, just a few days ago, domestic boxers returned from Hungary, where the 63rd international Boxing tournament in memory of Istvan Bochkai ended, where Kazakhstan was awarded five medals: three gold, one silver and one bronze.
